CFMA December 2024 Executive Committee Meeting Highlights

Dear CFMA Members,

I’m pleased to share an update on the work of CFMA’s Executive Committee, the group of appointed and elected members who are charged in CFMA’s bylaws to plan, direct and assure administration of the association’s activities, which recently convened in San Antonio, TX. Highlighting the Committee’s work of pursuing the vision and strategic plan of the Association, I’d like to provide you with an overview of our recent meeting in San Antonio, TX, and our key focus areas and ongoing efforts.

The Finance Committee report revealed that CFMA’s financial health is strong, and we continue to seek opportunities for growth. Membership retention is a top priority, and our objective is to maintain CFMA’s financial health while addressing the needs of our members.

We also had the pleasure of hearing from CFMA’s Principal Partners — Kit Dickinson, ADP; Nick Hadley, Commerce Bank; Jason Myers, Forvis Mazars; and Keith Rieder, Trimble — who presented their business strategies and how they’re continuing to support CFMA's members. As CFMA’s new Elite Partner, Corpay was also represented by Peter Smith. This new category is part of our broader strategy to formalize relationships with key industry partners, allowing us to leverage resources and expand our reach. Our Principal and Elite Partners play a vital role in CFMA’s growth, and we’re focused on optimizing their engagement and presence at conferences and regional events.

In response to requests, CFMA’s Certification Board will offer individuals whose CCIFP certification has lapsed the opportunity to re-engage, encouraging them to reinstate their credentials. We’re also working to ensure our education programs remain rigorous and valuable.
